The Three Pools, Trinidad & Tobago

The Three Pools are located close to the village of Blanchisseuse (Trianidad & Tobgo) and not too far from Maracas Falls (which are the probably the most famous falls in Trianidad & Tobgo (Maracas Falls are just a 30 minutes drive west from Blanchisseuse).

It is a short (about 40 minutes) and fairly easy hike to reach the 3 pools – usually the first bit is a long stretch of mud so be sure to bring something  that holds on to your foot (i.e unlike Crocs). The 3 pools are all a part of the Marianne River –  there are also hiking trails that lead to Avocat waterfall close to each other, views during the hike are captivating and green all around. The Three Pools were actually created due to separated areas of the Marianne River at different heights. jumping from the rocks at the top of the pool can be dangerous so make sure before you decide to jump that the pool is full enough (some dry seasons can make the water level drop considerately)
