The Rainbow Mountains (a.k.a The Gansu Zhangye National Geopark) is located in northern China. this is a unique site with an amazing landscape configuration, The Geopark has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. it was formed due to tectonic shifts along the Himalayas and the vivid and colorful rock formations are a result of various mineral deposits in the area. The mountains have many diagonal layers with different patterns & sizes. It is recommended to visit the place during early morning hours or near sunset, defiantly worth a visit.
