Do you enjoy watching planes fly in for a landing? Now think about planes that come down from the sky and fly SUPER low just above the Tropical Caribbean blue water. Well than we recommend seeing this in person over Maho Beach on the southwestern part of St. Maarten Island (an autonomy within the Netherlands – though obliviously not in Europe).
The Island is also known for its bustling nightlife and many beaches and casinos. Naturally in such a peacfule amazing Island tourism is the main factor of the island’s income. Most tourists arrive on flights to Princess Juliana International Airport – the same one that incoming airplanes fly right over Maho Beach on approach to landing.
Tip – There is a nice Bar called “Sunset Bar & Grill” just south of the beach, it’s just as nice as any other Bar with the big plus – you get to watch big planes as they come close over the white sand right next to you.
The island other half is a french territory.
