The Eschenheim Tower (or Eschenheimer Turm in German) is located in Frankfurt’s city center (southwest Germany). the Tower was first built in 1346 as a city gate, and was not as impressive as it is today, it was built upon many times. Nowadays it stands infront of the “Nextower”, which is an office building rising to 136-metre high. The contrast between the old Eschenheim with the beautiful and castle-like spire, and the modern Nextower creates an inspiring urban landscape.
